Puppy Adoption Application for Turner's Schnauzers. The purpose of this application is not to “weed out” loving homes. It is to ensure that we find the best possible homes for our precious little Miniature Schnauzer puppies; as well as ensuring that our puppy is the best possible for your family. This application should be completed by the person who will be the puppy’s primary care giver.

* Puppy interested in adopting
* Please list the reason(s) you would like to adopt/purchase this puppy? (For example companion, family pet, gift, breeding, watch dog etc..)
* Have you ever owned a dog before?
* Are you willing and able to provide you pet with veterinary preventative care such as yearly veterinary examinations, monthly heartworm preventative, flee and tick control, vaccinations, teeth cleaning and groomings?
* Name and telephone number of the veterinarian you plan to use.
* Are you aware that a schnauzer needs to be brushed at least several times each week to prevent the hair from becoming matted?
* How many adults live in your household?
* Do you have children in your home under 5? If yes how many?
* How many children total are in the household?
* Does everyone in your household know you are planning to adopt a pet?
* Is your family willing to accept the cost and responsibility of owning a dog?
* What type of home do you live in? house, condo, apartment etc..
* Do you own or rent your home?
* Does your landlord permit dogs?
* Are you aware that while some landlord’s permit dogs many will charge you an additional fee for having the pet?
* Will your dog live indoors or outdoors?
* Where will your dog sleep?
* What types of food will you feed your dog?
* Where will your dog be while you are at work
* How many hours per day will your dog be alone?
* Do you have a fenced in yard or area for your dog to run and play?
* If not how will you confine your dog?
* Do you currently have other pets living in your household?
* If so please list their types, breeds and ages:
* Please explain what happened to the pets you no longer own.
* Have any of your pets contracted, been exposed to or died from: Heartworms, Parvo, Corona virus, Brucellosis,Bordatella or other diseases?
* How many of your pets are spayed or neutered?
* Do you plan to have your new schnauzer spayed or neutered? If not please explain why.
* If you currently own other pets, does your county place a limit on the number of pets that you can own? If so will this limit be a problem for you?
* Are you willing and able to invest the time and money necessary to train and socialize you dog to be an acceptable member of your family?
